Rafael Moreira was honored with the SKK Merit Award in Energy and Sustainability 2024/2025 for the best performance in the Energy and Sustainability course at Instituto Superior Técnico.

The award ceremony took place on September 26 at the Alameda campus, marking the first edition of this distinction.

With a value of €1,800, the award recognizes academic merit and the connection between Técnico and the business sector. “This award is very important, not only for me but also for future students, to motivate them to achieve better results,” said Rafael Moreira.

Técnico’s Vice-President, Pedro Amaral, thanked the SKK Group for supporting the initiative, emphasizing its value to the academic community. Meanwhile, Manuel Quinaz, CEO of SKK Group, highlighted the importance of energy and sustainability in the company’s strategy.

The distinction also includes a €1,200 donation to the Department of Mechanical Engineering, aimed at improving the teaching of the course.

Since 2024, the SKK Group has been part of Técnico’s Partner Network, collaborating in the promotion of talent and innovation with social impact.
