upK Renews Scholarship for Instituto Superior Técnico Students

The initiative supports Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering students, recognising academic merit and helping to ease financial hardship.

upK has renewed its Scholarship for the new academic year, reinforcing the company’s commitment to training a new generation of engineers. The scholarship is open to Instituto Superior Técnico students enrolled in Mechanical Engineering and Electrical and Computer Engineering.

The initiative aims to reward academic merit while easing the financial difficulties that many students face throughout their higher education. In this way, upK seeks to create the conditions for students to develop their potential, overcome challenges, and achieve their academic goals.

Manuel Quinaz, CEO of upK, highlights the importance of supporting students’ education, stressing that the initiative is an investment rather than simply an act of generosity. “It’s a cause I believe is extremely important, and it’s one of the gaps we have in Portugal: the training and education of people. I think everyone could do a little bit to foster what really matters,” he said.
